Never spent this much for a shirt - but will again! Jun 22, 2010 I am not what you'd call a fashion maven. In fact, I have clothes in my closet that were here when Thatcher was Prime Minister. But a few years ago, when I was in the States, an old friend bought me one of these shirts, in black. She couldn't stand what I was wearing, and we were going to some function, business related, and it was either I take her gift, or stay in my hotel room! This was one of the first shirts that actually fit me. I mean, sleeve length, tail, and most important collar. I was able to wear a tie, and not feel I was being water-boarded. But better was how it felt. And how it looked on me. And how it tucked in! I finally understood what my wife always said about how "clothes make the man", or actually how they make a man feel. You wear something classy that fits like a glove, and you suddenly feel classy! Sadly I couldn't find any of these shirts on sale anywhere, but after I finally wore out the black shirt, I realized I need another. Honestly I'm not sure if I would have bought this if I didn't have a £50 gift certificate. I know I live in another era, but really, that's insane for a shirt! But once I got this, I had to admit, that it's worth it. This one, was just as good as the one I wore out. And I may even buy some more, in different colors, before I turn this one into Swiss cheese.
Cranberry...beautiful color, style and fit.... Jun 05, 2010 Bought this for my husband for a Valentine's Day dance a few months back. It fit him beautifully, was a gorgeous color, and held up thru a night of partying.
I washed it by hand and hung it on a hanger to dry for the next time. Whenever something has such a vibrant color, you do a diservice to the fabric by machine washing. I also try to stay away from dry cleaning and chemicals used, as my own personal health and environmental protection commitment.
not very good Apr 17, 2010 I paid 18.99 plus shipping for this shirt. I am not very happy with the quality of this shirt. May be I just got what I paid for. The tailoring is very bad. The cloth is just average. They are made in Thailand.
I will not buy another of these.
REAL wrinkle-free Mar 06, 2010 Too many shirts are labeled "wrinkle free" or "easy care" or "no iron" but come out of the dryer needing at least a touch up with an iron. Not these, baby! They come out completely and utterly free of wrinkles, ready to wear out on the town or to a business meeting (okay, so they are a bit shiny, but the lighter colors are not noticeably so, especially under a sport coat). These are truly a must-have for lazy men everywhere!
Great shirt if you're not a freak. Jan 09, 2010 I have these freakishly long arms. Seems that everything I buy has to be purchased much larger than I like just to get the sleeve length to be correct. This is a great shirt. It feels good, washed well and was very stylish. Beene definitely knows his craft. I just wish I could find bargains like this in sizes with different sleeve options. Whoa be to the people that aren't built perfect in this world. *smile* Overall, its a great fit and I've recommended this shirt and designer to friends.
