My son loves loves loves these! they are very well constructed - haven't had any issues with fading or fraying after more washes than i can count... the only problem i have is that my son likes to wear them backwards so he can see the pictures!

my 2.5yo son was lured into potty training when he saw the thomas big-boy underwear. after many, MANY accidents, he is potty trained and the underwear are soft. however, they run extremely small. my 29lb, 32"high son is the 5th percentile for height and needs to wear the size 4T. i imagine anyone older than 3yo would not be comfortable wearing the 4T size.

I got these Thomas the tank underwear to inspire my 2.5 yr old to use the potty more. He LOVES them. My only problem is they shrink ALOT. He is in a 2 T and I ordered 4's after reading the other reviews. They continued to shrink after the 2nd wash also. He barely fits into them now. He's average for his age size wise. I wish Hanes would either make it so their fabric didn't shrink so much or get bigger sizes in.

This underwear is really, really cute and bound to be popular with Thomas fans ---which might make them helpful in potty training (yeah!).
BUT having said that, I need to tell you that they run small (my 35 pound-40in. tall son is snug in a 4T!) and they are scratchy and rough - a problem we have never encountered before with a Hanes product. Go figure.
Three Stars. Bound to be popular, but buy larger then you would expect to, and be prepared to wash and wash and wash to soften up.

These ones run a little small too...but Thomas worked for us! Oct 19, 2005
My almost 3 year old doesn't want to get Thomas wet so we have had great success with these underwear and potty training. While the size still seems a little small to me (only because they fit him perfectly, I'm used to clothes being big on him) we are very happy with the Thomas underwear. One of the best things about these ones is that they come in a package of 3 with 2 different styles. 2 have Thomas on the bum, and one just has small Thomas' all over. It's nice to have the choice, because sometimes you just don't want a giant Thomas on your rear:)
