size bad, for me Jul 15, 2010 just didn't fit properly and had to return.. Ran big....LEE Jeans are good, but sadly, just not for me..
good, comfortable jean Jun 27, 2010 I've purchased these jeans for years and love the fit and the little bit of stretch so I can garden in them more easily. The only reason for 4 stars is that the fabric seems a little thinner than in my previous purchases so they may not last as long.
Lees Side-Elastic fit Jeans May 09, 2010 I really like the fit of these Jeans. I have never been able to wear Lees Jeans in the past due to my long waist line. I hesitated to buy these Jeans because I felt they were pricey and my past experience with this brand wasn't good. I am thrilled I gave it a try because working for ten hours straight in Jeans can be very uncomfortable on my stomach area. The elastic gives me much needed comfort and its just right for hiding the style with an untucked top. I am certainly buying more in the near future even at the pricey expense for the great comfort they provide. They are not just for short-waisted women as in the past.
Not quite the style I expected but really comfortable! Mar 09, 2010 EDIT 03/13/10: I just discovered another great feature of these jeans -- they are light-weight enough and stretchy enough to wear while horseback riding. I ride dressage and being quite overweight -- I'm not always feeling like wearing my breeches and I don't have many. Today, I decided to try these and they were every bit as comfortable in the saddle as my breeches and I felt much more comfortable wearing them in public since they give me substantially more "privacy" than breeches. The amazing thing is that these jeans aren't even that loose on me. But there stretch in the fabric was just enough to make it the perfect casual horseback riding pant.... or bike-riding pant...

I wore Lee Jeans back in college and preferred a style with a bit of a front pleat which allowed for a looser fit in the legs. I thought that is what these would be. I also thought that they would be "true to size".
For me, they ran smaller than the jeans I had been wearing which were LandsEnd and Eddie Bauer Jeans. As a result, I wound up needing to loose weight to fit into them. I finally lost the weight and am wearing them for the first time.
They are a nice classic fit with classic straight lines. The Elastic is discrete and can be easily covered by a belt or wearing your shirt not tucked in. The fabric is very comfortable and they do not dig in at all when you sit down. I can even sit on the floor with my legs crossed and still no "cutting in" at all.
I ordered the long which is a little long but fits the way I like particularly when I am wearing tennis shoes -- I'm 5'6".
The denim is a little thinner than other brands but still feels well made. The price is very good -- particularly compared to the jeans I was buying from LandsEnd and Eddie Bauer. I would not hesitate to buy again.
